CASTLE
DROGO: This granite castle, built between 1910 and 1930 for the self-made
millionaire Julius Drewe, is one of the most remarkable works of Sir Edwin
Lutyens. Perched on a moorland spur over the River Teign, it commands
spectacular views of Dartmoor. The interior combines the grandeur of a
medieval castle with the comfort of the 20th century. There is a
delightful formal garden with roses and herbaceous borders, as well as spring
flowers and many fine walks on the estate.
PENNYWELL
FARM: Devon's No.1 Day Out. Come and experience the Pennywell magic
at this multi-award winning visitor attraction... you'll never want to
leave. New activities are scheduled every 30 minutes. Bottle feed
the hungry lambs, try Pennywell's unique and thrilling down-hill Go Cart ride,
visit the wonderful array of birds at the Bird of Prey Centre, meet the
animals in a guided tour including goats, lambs, ponies, and donkeys, cuddle
the guinea pigs and mice, feed the piglets and many more activities besides.
QUAY
WEST is the English Riviera's only water park. Go wild and get
wet! Choose from 8 different flumes from the gentle SURF LAGOON to the
exhilarating SCREAMER or the wild KAMIKAZE. All together nearly one mile
in length. Are you brave enough to go on the DEVILS DROP, the highest,
fastest flume in England - 65 feet of excitement. Quay West is safe and
secure with qualified Lifeguards and First Aiders on duty at all times so you
can let the kids go fluming crazy while you have a swim in our pool, designed
especially for the over 5s! For younger ones there is the TOON TOWN POOL
