Welcome to our Devon holiday cottage, Rosalia, a late Victorian stone fronted period cottage, in the heart of the English Riviera.
Rosalia
Cottage has two bedrooms and sleeps up to 5 people. Situated
in the charming village of Wellswood, on the outskirts of Torquay in a pretty location, close to
many
beaches, our holiday cottage has been tastefully modernised and fully
equipped to provide you with a comfortable holiday home.
Though in a peaceful mews road and conservation area, Rosalia is only 1/2 minute walk from local shops and 5 minutes from many beaches and secluded coves. The nearest cove is Anstey's Cove, 1/4 mile away; an enchanting, sheltered, shingle and rock beach ,which was once a smuggler's haven. Alternatively, a wooded walk for 1/2 mile brings you to Meadfoot Beach which is the nearest sandy beach and perfect for families. The locality includes designated heritage sights and the nearby heritage coast is served by many footpaths. A short stroll down the road will lead you past many wonderful restaurants, which includes an Italian and a French restaurant as well as a delicious bakery and tea house.
For
those seeking a more exciting holiday, Torquay, with it's night-life and family oriented entertainment is one and a quarter miles away. For all
the fun of a traditional sea-side holiday the beaches and piers of Paignton
and Teignmouth are 4 and 6 miles away. The
main shopping area of Torquay is just 1 mile away.
Linen can be provided if required. There is also a piano available for a small hire charge, for musical guests. Ample parking exists outside of the cottage.
The
cottages sleeps 4-5 and a cot/highchair can be provided on request. Please find
below the layout of the accommodation:
Bedroom 1: Pine Double Bed, fitted wardrobes, pine bed side tables, reading lamps, wooden cot, yellow curtains.
Bedroom 2: One Single Pine Bed and a pair of pine bunk beds, Pine Wardrobe, pale blue walls and dark blue curtains
Kitchen:
Beautiful pine clad kitchen which is fully equipped with fan oven, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, washing
machine, kettle, toaster, dinner service, iron, ironing board, highchair etc. etc.
Dining Room: Dining table and chairs for 6, piano, peach walls
Living Room: Sofa- bed, 2 chairs, colour TV, Video, DVD/CD player, hi-fi, large mirror above mantel, lilac walls, wooden floor and curtains
Bathroom:
Refurbished bathroom (March 2005) including bath with shower attachment,
electric shower, sink, toilet, bathroom cabinet, laundry basket
Patio/Garden: Garden table and chairs, barbeque.
Heating: Gas central heating
Although there is seating enough for 4/5 in the living room and there are beds for 5 upstairs, there is also a double sofa-bed available as well, which may be useful depending on how party sizes are made up.
Tastefully decorated throughout and has a lovely sunny
aspect.
There is also easy parking directly outside the cottage.
Security Bond
We also ask for a security bond of £100. This will be totally refunded (back to card used for booking fee no later than one week after the end of the holiday) on condition that there is no damage, breakages or spillages occur. We aim to provide high quality clean accommodation and with the co-operation of our guests we will be able to maintain this standard.
