The most famous attraction at Brixham must be the museum ship the Golden Hind, which is a replica of Sir Francis Drake's flagship. It is permanently moored on the quayside. Sir Francis Drake was the first Englishman to sail around the world in an epic adventure of discovery and plunder (1577-1580).

You can also visit the Brixham Heritage Museum, which is housed in the old police station. Founded in 1957, the museum offers an insight into the history of Brixham and its people.
