holiday cottages The Fountain restaurant is situated just 2 minutes walk from our cottage in Torquay, Rosalia. The address of this fine restaurant is 5 Ilsham Road, Wellswood and it particularly recommended for its seafood and steak dishes. It is open from Monday to Saturday from 7pm and also lunchtimes from 12 - 2pm on Thursdays and Fridays. It can also be booked for private functions. In the Winter months customers can enjoy the open fire, which gives it a comfortable, homely feel.

A la carte starters include grilled fresh scallops and Thai fish cake with prices ranging from £3.95 to £6.95. The a la carte main courses include fresh local Brixham plaice and pan fried medallions of pork, stuffed with garlic butter and served on an orange and pineapple sauce. Prices of the main courses range from £9.50 to £19.50.Desserts include tarte au citron and dark chocolate truffle torte or cheese platter with prices from £5.50.

The restaurant can also cater for vegetarians, but 24 hour notice is required. The vegetarian menu incldues baked avocado dora, an avocado layered with aubergine caviar, topped with melted cheese and toasted almonds.
