Review of St Anns three bedroom detached cottage in Torquay

holiday cottages ST ANNS - is a 3 bedroom detached cottage, situated in St Marychurch, Torquay.

We stayed here recently and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. It is nice to find a home from home sort of place. It was particularly nice for us to find this cottage, as we have family in the area and I look forward to booking it again when we next come to visit.

The cottage was prepared to a high standard and the caretakers were very welcoming. The cottage was both clean and warm - the caretakers told us it has just had a new combi boiler fitted. Our dog was also allowed.

We loved the area of St Marychurch. It is very well placed, as it is just 5 minutes walk to the beach. Babbacombe Downs is lovely. We had lunch one day at Angels. If you sit at one of the outside tables you have a view of the sea while you eat lunch. They also do a wicked cream tea! You can't visit Devon without having one! Another evening we had fish and chips from Hanburys Fish and Chip Shop. They are also close to the Downs. We sat on a cliff side bench and ate our food, while admiring the wonderful sea view. The food was very good (better than Birmingham). I would highly recommend their smoke haddock. It's the only fish and chip shop that I have ever come across with "smoked" haddock on the menu.
