TORQUAY - Our family has visited Torquay many times on holiday. There are many beaches running up the coastline from Torre Sands in the centre of the town, around past the harbour and on up to Meadfoot Beach, Babbacombe, Oddicombe and then out of the town to beaches such as Maidencombe and Watcombe.

It makes a very pleasant walk to drive down to the harbour and then to walk along the sea-front passing Breezes restaurant and up to Princes Theatre. We have also eaten in the Pizza Express restaurant, which is our daughter's favourite, which is just on the corner of the harbour. Some of the other restaurants change hands often, but there is also a very nice Turkish restaurant here as well.

Meadfoot beach is a family friendly beach and there is also an adjacent pebble section of the beach where dogs are allowed. There is also a cafe here as well.
